I've heard it time and again from new online entrepreneurs that, this or that, online money making program doesn't work.

I've had these same feelings when I was a new online entrepreneur. In fact, I just could not figure out why I wasn't making money hand over fist with this or that newfound money making opportunity.

It's very natural for any of us to begin an online business without sufficient understanding about how to actually make the money the advertisements say we can make. But guess what, we still join these opportunities anyway in the hopes that something will make it work.

I've learned some wonderful lessons during my fruitful time as an online entrepreneur. The first lesson I learned is that nobody is going to do the work for you. If you hear that this or that business is going to make you money without you having to do or learn anything, then I'm sorry you've been taken.

Learn that the effort you put into your business dictates the success you get out of it. Learn that lesson, along with the lessons I'm suggesting below, and you'll find that the Internet "world is your oyster" - you will become successful and most likely "wildly so".

· Get your attitude straight! Believe, know, have the vision and understanding that others are successful online, in this real industry, and therefore you can be as well.

· Get mentoring and support, get mentoring and support, get mentoring and support. Unless you are an already very savvy business person, you must have a proactive go the extra mile supportive mentor to teach you the ins and outs of your business and of online marketing.

· Understand that you are going to have to learn how to market online. If you can't market online then you may just be in a situation where nobody knows you exist and you can't sell anything that way.

· Understand that no matter where you are in your online business understanding, that you can always learn more. Then take action to learn it.

· Follow the insightful rule, "Treat your, make money online, opportunity like a business". While that statement may cause some concern that you must already be a businessperson to be successful online, it simply means, to treat it seriously and follow the rules and you'll be fine.

o Understand that usually you must spend money to make money. If you do have to spend money to advertise and get prospects, then also begin applying your free marketing skills to establish yourself. If you do then in the future people will be contacting you to join your business rather than you having to initiate all contact. That's a wonderful position to be in.

o Provide excellent honest customer services. That doesn't mean you have to call people if you don't want to, but it does mean that you have to be responsive, forthright, and honest in your dealings. Some guru's don't even follow this rule, but I believe their business success may then be short lived, because they will alienate the very people they are making money from.

In conclusion let me say, "I have had the terrific opportunity to learn everything I know about online marketing from mentors, who have taught me great lessons without remuneration. If one suggestion can overwhelmingly create an attitude and forum for success in your online venture, it is to learn from a master, or in other words, find yourself an effective mentor and follow their education and support to your online success."
